The Story Behind Blooming Peace
Soul Connection
Every new beginnings comes from some other beginning’s end.
Our Founder’s Calling
(continued from Home page)
When life cuts deep, words often fail us.
I created Blooming Peace because I realized that so many of us are carrying a deep, unacknowledged grief. We often think grief only belongs to the loss of a loved one. But grief is much broader. It is the loss of a dream, a career, a relationship, or even the loss of your own sense of self. Unresolved grief lives underneath addiction, and it hides behind the protective walls of intellectualization.
That is why Blooming Peace uses Creative Expression to cultivate personal and community well-being.
Our studio is a practical space to help people heal their broken hearts. You do not need to be an artist to be here, and you do not need to have the words ready. You just need a safe space to bring whatever is trapped inside you out in the open, or a place to quiet your mind, relax and enjoy being creative just for the fun of it. Let’s find your language, bridge the disconnect, and rebuild that relationship with your true self—one piece of he(art) at a time.
With warmth and peace,
Daune Marie
Founder, Blooming Peace
“Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one." -Marianne Williamson
A Peaceful Community Legacy Project in the Making
The many hearts behind the art belong to kind souls and kindred spirits.
Today, Blooming Peace Studio is a vibrant community hub located in a dedicated, mixed-use, intentional space that reflects Daune’s daily devotion to this work with the help of like-minded facilitators and community participants. It’s a place where art transcends the canvas to become a practice of mindfulness, self-care, and human connection. Many of the experiences offered are process-oriented, designed for stress-reduction and enriching social engagement.
Heartbeats of the studio honor the fierce, beautiful memory of the founder’s late daughter whom she refers to as a ‘Warrior Princess.’ Daune shares that her daughter’s courageous grace with cancer reshaped her world forever.
“In the wake of the sudden collapse of my old life in conjunction with my younger daughter’s illness and passing, I found myself standing at the crossroad of profound grief. It was during these seasons that I returned to my passion for art, discovering it to be a powerful lifeline for emotional survival. What began as a personal path to healing, blossomed into a deeper purpose: a mission to help others transform their heaviest heartaches and daily pressures into mindful, creative expression.”—Daune Marie

OUR INSPIRATION
“If there is to be peace in the world, there must be peace in the nations. If there is to be peace in the nations, there must be peace in the cities. If there is to be peace in the cities, there must be peace between neighbors. If there is to be peace between neighbors, there must be peace in the home. If there is to be peace in the home, there must be peace in the heart.” -Lau Tzu
