Class Overview
This workshop guides you through the meditative process of layering watercolor washes to build a luminous, autumn‑inspired composition. Whether you’re new to watercolor or an experienced creator expanding your mixed‑media practice, you’ll learn how transparent layers create depth, movement, and harmony.
What You’ll Create
A flowing leaf pattern that captures the rhythm of fall — warm tones of amber, sienna, and gold blending into soft purples and browns. Each layer adds texture and emotion, revealing how patience and water can shape beauty.
Techniques Covered
Building watercolor layers from light to dark
Creating organic edges and gradients
Using fine‑line ink for definition and details
Balancing composition through color temperature
Materials Provided
Rag paper
Watercolor paints (earth and autumn palette)
Fine‑liner pens or dip pens
Brushes in varied sizes
Gold watercolor(optional)
Experience Level
Perfect for beginners discovering watercolor’s gentle flow and advanced creators refining their layering techniques.
