Our classes require zero art experience. We focus instead on the soothing, healing benefits of the creative process. Come find a cozy spot at our recently opened Glenside location, try out new mediums, and enjoy restorative self-care in a safe, nurturing environment.
Pre-registration is required. If finances are preventing you from joining us, a scholarship may be available.
ASIAN BRUSH PAINTING—Chrysanthemums, Sunflowers, & Pumpkins
DATE: Sunday, November 15th
TIME: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
FACILITATOR: Marla Greenberg
CLASS SIZE/REQUIREMENTS: Limited to 10 participants (ages 18+).
Welcome to a sanctuary where creativity meets nature. We begin our experience by viewing images of lotus gardens and waterfowl. Afterward, Marla will introduce you to the traditional tools of the craft.
Our artistic path commences in monochrome, revealing the profound depth of black ink on paper. We will then transition into color, learning to capture the vibrant, changing energy of the natural world. Our time together concludes with a peaceful studio walk to view and celebrate everyone’s finished pieces. We invite you to experience the grace of Asian Brush Painting with each meditative movement of the brush.

ETEGAMI—Holiday Card Workshop
DATE: Saturday, December 5th
TIME: 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
FACILITATOR: Marla Greenberg
Ring in the festive holiday season by making holiday cards. Etegami is the Japanese art of making postcards. You will be able to send your postcards through the USPS or even to Japan. If you wish, we can personalize the activity to include the upcoming winter holidays. Blank watercolor paper greeting cards and envelopes will be provided to paint and create homemade cards for family, friends, and loved ones.

PLEASE NOTE: You must register to obtain the access code to the studio as we are in a secure building. Our studio space is only accessible by way of stairs with a railing.

Not at all! At Blooming Peace, our intention is focused on the benefits of the creative process, not the final product.

Out of respect for our facilitators, we do not issue refunds for missed classes as a result of illness, personal emergencies, or any other event beyond our control. However, you are welcome to “gift” your class to someone else if you are unable to attend. To do so, please notify us hereand include your recipient’s name and contact info.

In case of inclement weather, classes may be held online via Zoom or rescheduled. Notifications will be sent to registrants via email.

We are located in a secure building, therefore contact with us is required in order to gain access to the studio. Pre-registration through the website is required for all classes and workshops.

We only offer classes for adults, ages 18 and above. None of our classes are specifically designed for children. Children under the age of 18 are welcome to come to the studio only if they are accompanied and supervised by an adult.

Our studio space is located on the lower level in the building and only accessible by way of stairs. We apologize for any inconvenience.
