BARN MARKET FLIP: Upcycle Vintage Furniture (2-Part Series)

DATE: Saturday, 10/4 & 10/11

TIME: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (both dates)

FACILITATOR: Emily Scheivert

Get ready to turn forgotten furniture into bold, beautiful statement pieces! In this colorful, hands-on workshop, you’ll breathe new life into vintage treasures using paint, imagination, and expert guidance. This two-part experience invites you to explore your creativity while transforming a piece of furniture into something uniquely yours.

Session 1: Choose & Prepare Your Piece (10/4, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

At Blooming Peace Studio, you’ll choose from a curated collection of vintage furniture—pre-selected from the Barn at St. Thomas for their character and creative potential. Each piece will be clean and ready for paint, so you can dive right into dreaming up your design. With Emily’s guidance, you’ll explore color options, sketch ideas, and begin prep work like sanding or priming, if needed, to get your piece ready for its bold new look.

Session 2: Paint & Transform (10/11, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

In the second session, it’s time to bring your vision to life! The studio will provide all supplies, including a vibrant array of paints, brushes, stencils, and decorative tools. Emily will support you as you paint and personalize your furniture, helping you create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece you’ll be proud to show off.

Provided: Pre-selected vintage furniture, all painting and upcycling supplies

You Bring: Clothes you can paint in and a playful, adventurous spirit!
