$79.00

DATE: Saturday, 6/14 & 6/28

TIME: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM (6/14) & 2:00PM - 5:00PM (6/28)

FACILITATOR: Emily Scheivert

Whether you're a seasoned artist or a novice eager to explore, join us for a unique two-session workshop that combines the excitement of discovering vintage furniture with the satisfaction of transforming it into a personalized masterpiece.

Session 1: Treasure Hunting at The Barn – Prep at the Studio (6/14, 9:30AM - 12:30PM)

NOTE: The Barn sale starts at 8:00 AM. Feel free to come early for extended shopping pleasure.

Our journey begins at The Barn at St. Thomas Whitemarsh, located at 7020 Camp Hill Road, Fort Washington, PA. Renowned for its extensive collection of antique, mid-century, and used furniture at affordable prices, The Barn offers a variety of unique pieces awaiting a creative touch.

Under the guidance of Expressive Arts Facilitator, Emily Scheivert, participants will explore The Barn's offerings to select a piece of vintage furniture that resonates with them. Once chosen, the furniture will be put on a truck and transported to the nearby Blooming Peace Studio, 7002 Camp Hill Road. There the group will convene to discuss design ideas and begin the initial preparation of their pieces for painting. This includes cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed to ensure a smooth canvas for the upcoming transformation.

Session 2: Creative Transformation at Blooming Peace Studio (6/28, 2:00PM - 5:00PM)

In the second studio session you'll unleash your creativity and re-imagine your furniture piece into a personalized work of art. All necessary supplies, including a vibrant selection of paints and tools, will be provided by the studio. Emily will offer personalized guidance and support.

Materials: All painting supplies provided; participants are responsible for the purchase of their selected furniture piece or may bring a piece with them.

Deadline to register is 6/12.
