2/7 – BE UNLONELY: CREATIVITY & CONVERSATIONS – Introductory Afternoon Event

Be Curious & Courageous—Everyone who comes will have the opportunity to make something by experimenting with various art materials and then be encouraged to engage in meaningful conversations to share what what we’ve made, find things in common with others, and learn more about ourselves and the world around us. Rocks, scissors, paper, glue, paint, inspirational prompts…we hope you get the idea and decide to come play in the studio with us.
This introductory event is inspired by the work of The Foundation for Art & Healing and its signature national initiative, Project UnLonely. You can visit its website https://www.artandhealing.org to learn more and watch a video that features how scientific evidence has proven that art-making rewires the lonely brain. Come to the studio for this and other events to BE UNLONELY!
All art supplies will be provided. No experience necessary. Continuing events will be held weekly.
If inclement weather forces us to postpone this event, fortunately a make-up day can be scheduled.
There is also an art galley in the building for art viewing and appreciation. Currently on display is Celestial Whispers: An Angel Inspire Art Exhibit.
