Join us for a warm, luminous evening of mindful mandala dot painting inspired by the Harvest Moon — the full moon that rises near the autumn equinox and has long been associated with abundance, gratitude, completion, and seasonal turning.
In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll paint a glowing moon-inspired mandala on a dark blue journal cover using amber, harvest gold, rust, honey, cream, warm white, and charcoal tones. You’ll leave with a completed Harvest Moon mandala journal cover and a peaceful reminder of what you are gathering, honoring, and carrying into the new season.
Space is limited to 8 participants. Reserve your spot and come create by the glow of the Harvest Moon.

DATE: Monday, 9/21
TIME: 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM
FACILITATOR: Becky Gallagher
Art Journaling Collective: A Gentle Beginning for New and Experienced Journalers
Curious about art journaling but not sure where to begin? This welcoming introductory workshop is designed for absolute beginners as well as anyone who feels unsure, intimidated, or “not artistic.” Experienced journalers are also welcome to join and reconnect with the basics in a relaxed, supportive setting.
Through simple, step-by-step prompts, you’ll explore approachable techniques using paper, color, lines, marks, words, and images. No drawing skill is required, and there is no pressure to make anything perfect. The focus is on creative exploration, personal expression, and learning to enjoy the process.
Art journaling can offer a flexible and meaningful way to document your days, reflect on your thoughts, notice moments of gratitude, reduce stress, and build a creative routine that fits your life.
During the workshop, you’ll learn easy practices for daily, weekly, or monthly journaling and experiment with materials such as pens, paints, collage papers, and more. Each page becomes an opportunity to explore, play, and discover your own style.
The workshop also creates space for a growing collective of journalers—much like a book club, but centered on images, words, memory, and reflection. Participants can share ideas, learn from one another’s approaches, and find inspiration in the many ways people use their journals to record everyday experiences, creative discoveries, and gratitude.
This gentle introduction is centered on curiosity, comfort, and permission to begin wherever you are.
What to Bring
Please bring any journal or sketchbook you enjoy using—lined, blank, or dot grid, in any size that feels comfortable. You may bring one from home or purchase a multimedia journal in class if you would like thicker paper for paint and collage.
Please register by 9/20. If you have missed the deadline, please contact us to see if space is available.

JOURNALING & COLLAGING COLLECTIVE: Writing & Artmaking Activities to Explore All That Life Brings
DATE: Tuesday, August 25th
TIME: 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM
FACILITATORS: Daune Marie
—Collage illustrations courtesy of Linda K
Join us for a unique and transformational creative expression practice that fosters intuition, explores choice, and combines creative narrative writing with the option of including images in a way that matches your personal style. Say it with words (and only words) through exclusive standard journaling and/or with added images in a visual art journal or larger collaged work of art. Exercise the freedom to experiment with all these options, perhaps to go outside your comfort zone to the growth edges!
This playshop offers a gentle, invitational approach to self-expression, allowing you to process and embrace all aspects of life, from the down right hard challenges to the deliriously happy stuff, and all that’s in between! Techniques and various styles will be demonstrated along with new weekly prompts to ignite your inner flame and use as a guiding light if you so choose. No matter what, this is your journey, and there’s no ‘wrong’ way to express yourself.
Feel free to bring a brown bag lunch or snacks if you want to “picnic” while you create, ponder, or wait for paint and glue to dry.
The cost of this class includes basic supplies. A variety of high-quality journals for mixed-media will also be available at an additional cost payable to the facilitator. You are welcome to bring your own as well. Please send us an email via CONTACT if you have any questions. Don’t let finances keep you from coming; instead, contact us about scholarship availability.
Please register by 8/24. If you have missed the deadline, please contact us to see if space is available.

COMMUNITY STUDIO HOURS—Wednesdays with Tami
DATE: Tuesday, August 12th
TIME: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
FACILITATOR: Tami Nosal*
Cultivate. Connect. Create.
Welcome to your creative sanctuary. Community Studio Hours are designed for makers, dreamers, and artists seeking a dedicated space to breathe life into their projects. This is not just time to work; it is an intentional gathering designed to foster connection with fellow creatives in a warm, supportive environment.
Bring your current passion project or come explore options to get started on one. Settle into the collective energy of a relaxing artistic space. While this time is self-directed, you are never truly on your own. Each facilitator brings their own creative strengths to the studio, offering a different experience each day of the week. Group guidance, casual mentoring, and informal skill-building naturally weave through each session. Whether you are looking to troubleshoot a technique, share a breakthrough, or simply create in the company of kindred spirits, you will belong to a community that inspires you.
Come as you are, connect authentically, and create beautifully.
Please register by August 11th. If you have missed the deadline, please contact us to see if space is available.
*You can read Tami’s bio on the ABOUT/FACILITATORS tab. Tami invokes a sense of play and curiosity when making art and often begins pieces without a plan or goal. She encourages herself and others to see and use items such as socks, rocks, gourds, tissue paper, coffee grounds, seashells, thrift store finds and items from home in unique and creative ways while making low stakes art.

Join us for a unique and transformational creative expression practice that fosters intuition, explores choice, and combines creative narrative writing with the option of including images in a way that matches your personal style.
